(#bestdayofmylife) As a tv lover, I watch my fair share of cooking/travel shows. A coworker of mine was suppose to meet up at Mt. Pocono Kitchen for a news segment but wasn’t able to make it. He called me and asked if I could help him out. Little did HE know, he helped me have one of my most memorable days ever. And I was able to share the day with my husband Steve!

Guy Fieri, celebrity chef and host of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, opened a new restaurant in PA called Guy Fieri’s Mt. Pocono Kitchen in the Mt. Airy Casino. His menu is an explosion of different flavors and textures that takes American comfort food to a whole new level. From his Vegas Fries to his Cajun Chicken Alfredo – you will leave his restaurant having tried food combinations you never have before. But what else can expect from someone who travels around the country trying delicious food for a living?

Guy (we’re on a first name basis now) made us one of his more popular chicken dishes and asked us to try it when he was done cooking. Being a vegetarian I told him I was honored to even watch him make it in person, but I couldn’t eat it. Guy’s sister, who passed away, was a vegetarian so he was very comfortable making something just for me. He even let me help!!?!
